CELEBRITY !

Patrice Muamba's family fled here seeking the democracy, civilisation and protection afforded by this country so they could make a better life. He's made a success of his young life & that is warming. Those things his family now enjoy was bought with the sacrifice, blood & determination of 1000s upon 1000s of Englishmen over the centuries, sacrifices that now allow those freedoms and security.The greatest of those sacrifices were made on the fields of Belgium, the famous 'Lions led by Donkeys', but on to the 2nd World war when WE stood alone against the Nazi threat...US !...nobody else ! I wish you well Patrice, enjoy your freedom, security and wealth but never forget the suffering that allowed it. Today six young men were repatriated to our land. Young men as courageous as these have been sacrificing their lives for over a hundred years in the name of what WE hold so dear. For them no celebrity endorsement. No Wayne Rooney 'Tweet'. No 'stay strong brother'. No footballer running to the cornerpost to proudly lift his shirt with some inane display. Just six grieving families whose lives will never recover. To the footballers and celebrity obsessed eternal shame on you. 'A pulse in the eternal mind no less'. Never forgotten in my own little bit of my glorious England. Rest in eternal peace young men. Never forgotten...EVER !
